"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 Pork Loin Roast (I buy them from Winco for $20 and cut them into three or four portions to freeze)
Seasonings (I use a mixture of garlic powder, onion powder, seasoning salt, salt, pepper, and a no-salt
seasoning mix from Costco. Sometimes I’ll do rosemary and thyme. Essentially, if it smells good
together, I’ll add it)

Directions:
Directions:
Place roast in the bottom of crockpot (I usually do fat side-down, but I don’t know if that is wrong or
something). Sprinkle seasonings over top of the roast. You can add carrots and potatoes or onions at this
point, too, if you like. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. If it’s frozen it will take longer
than thawed. I love it when you can just pull it apart, but if you take it out before that stage you can slice
it to serve. I usually make chicken gravy to pour over the top and it’s wonderful! And so easy! ( See the sauces section for a simple homemade gravy, flavoured as you please.)
