Snickerdoodles Recipe

Mix together:
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg

Sift together and stir in:
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. salt

Roll into balls the size of a walnut. Then roll balls in a mixture of:
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Place two inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned, but still soft. These cookies puff up at first and then flatten out.
