1 c. buttermilk
2 c. sugar
⅛ teas. salt
1 teas. soda
2 c. pecans
2 tbsp. butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Put buttermilk, sugar, salt, and soda in a heavy saucepan. Cook until mixture spins a thread when dropped from a spoon. Add pecans and butter and bring to a boil. Boil about 3 minutes then remove from heat. Beat until mixture is creamy. Drop from teaspoon on wax paper to cool. Store in box or candy jar. Yield: 2 lbs.
