Ingredients: 1 yeast 4 c flour (unsifted) 2 egg yolks ¼ c warm milk ½ c sugar 1 tsp salt ½ pint sour cream ¼ lb melted butter Filling #1 1 lb ground walnuts ½ c sugar 1 c white raisins ½ c warm milk 1 tsp soft butter 1 tsp lemon juice
Filling #2 1 lb ground walnuts ½ c sugar 1 c white raisins ½ c hot coffee 1 orange rind 1 tsp soft butter
Filling #3 1 lb ground poppy seed ¾ c sugar 2 Tbl honey ½ c hot milk 1 tsp lemon rind 1 tsp lemon juice

Directions:Dissolve yeast in warm milk. (Milk should be tepid, not boiling. It will bubble a little. 15-20 minutes to set.)Sift dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add yeast to flour with rest of ingredients and mix well with a wooden spoon til dough bubbles. Place into a greased bowl , brush top with melted butter or oil,. Cover with a cloth and chill overnight. (It will double in size.) Soak and dry raisins. Mix filling ingredients and cool. Flour board and remove dough from bowl. Divide in half. Roll out each ½ inch thick. Spread one with nut filling and the other with poppy seed filling. Roll up again and place on greased cookie sheet and let rise one hour. Bake at 350 º for 60 minutes.
