¼ c. oil
1 lb. round steak or cube steak (cut into 1/8" strips)
1 medium onion
2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
1 tblsp. cornstarch
½ c. cold water
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. pepper

Preheat oil in skillet. Season meat with some garlic powder and pepper, add to oil and brown. Remove to serving dish. Saute onion and bell pepper in skillet until tender. Dissolve cornstarch in water and soy sauce. Add sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Pour into skillet with vegetables, stirring until sauce is thickened and clear. Add meat, cook several minutes longer, until heated through. Serve over hot rice.

*Partially frozen meat is easier to slice.
