½ tsp salt
1 cup light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

Beat egg whites with salt until stiff but not dry.
Pour syrup in a fine stream over egg whites, beating constantly for 10 to 15 minutes, or until right consistency to spread.
Add vanilla.

This recipe comes from a newspaper during the time Kathryn and Harold lived in Arlington, Virginia.
