Cake:
1 c. boiling water
1 c. quick oats
1 stick butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
tsp. soda
tsp. nutmeg
tsp. salt
1⅓ c. flour

Frosting:
c. lt. brown sugar
c. sugar
c. butter
⅓ c. evaporated milk
1 c. coconut
2 tbsp. powdered sugar

Cake:
Pour water over oats and margarine. Let stand until margarine melts. Add remaining ingredients. mix well by hand and place in greased and floured 9 x 13 baking pan. Bake for 35 minutes at 350.

Frosting:
Mix first 4 ingredients well. Cook until thick. Add coconut and powdered sugar. Spread over hot cake. Place under broiler until browned...leave oven door open and watch...it doesn't take long!
