1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 15oz. can pumpkin
4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda and baking powder
1 tsp. salt and cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
1 c. chocolate chips

Preheat oven 375.
Cream together shortening and sugar.
Beat in eggs.
Stir in vanilla and pumpkin until smooth.
Combine dry ingredients and stir until mixed well.
Add in chocolate chips.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
