3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c corn syrup
1/3 c. real butter
2/3 c. whipping cream
Directions:
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine sugars, syrup and butter. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a full, rolling boil. (Takes about 5-6 minutes to get to that stage.) Remove from heat - cool 5 minutes - then stir in the whipping cream. Pour into a jar and store in the refrigerator. It will thicken when cold. This is good on ice cream or for dipping apples. It's also good on chocolate brownies, topped with ice cream and drizzled with the caramel sauce. Makes 2 1/2 cups. This sauce will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 weeks.

I made this one year for each of my girls for Christmas. I found some pretty jars and gave it to each of them to take home when they left after Christmas. This would also make wonderful gifts for teachers, neighbors, or good friends. It is delicious!!!!
