1 1/2 lb. round steak, cut 3/4" thick
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. shortening
1 16 oz. can tomatoes, cut up
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup carrots, chopped
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

Cut meat into 6 pieces. Combine flour and salt, rub 2 tbsp. onto each side of the meat. Brown in shortening on both sides. Transfer to baking dish. Blend 2 tbsp. flour mixture into pan drippings. Stir in undrained tomatoes, celery, carrots, and Worcestershire sauce.
Cook and stir until thick, pour over meat in baking dish.
Bake, covered in 250º oven about 1 hour and 20 minutes or until tender.
