1 bag apples, peeled, 3 lbs. I use Macs
1 package Pillsbury ready made crust
3/4 cup sugar
3 heaping Tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp, salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
butter to dot top

Directions:
Directions:
Prepare crust for bottom. Mix sugar, flour, spices in bowl. Slice apples fairly thin and place evenly in crust sprinkling sugar mix between layers. Dot with butter. Place top crust on and pinch edges to seal. You can use tines of fork to evenly seal edge for decorative look or fingers for fluted edge. Pierce top to allow steam to escape. Bake at 375 - 400 for 1 hour. Cool on rack then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
