Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 pork chops (or tenderloin slices)
Salt and pepper
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 bay leaf
3/4 cup chicken stock

Directions:
Directions:
Trim fat from chops and season with salt and pepper. Sauté onion and garlic in hot butter until soft and golden. Push aside or remove from skillet. Add chops and brown on both sides. Drain off fat. Add bay leaf and stock. Simmer, covered, for about 1 hour. Transfer chops to platter (I use inverted pan lid) and reduce pan juices to half over low heat. Add sour cream and paprika and blend thoroughly with pan juices. Heat through; do not boil. Add chops to sauce and serve with dumplings, noodles or rice.
