1 medium head of cabbage sliced thin
1 white onion, sliced thin into rings
3/4 c. sugar
1 t. dry mustard
1 t. celery seed
2 T. sugar
1 T. salt
3/4 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, place a layer of shredded cabbage, followed by a sprinkling of sugar (from the 3/4 c.), then a layer of onion rings. Follow this process until all the 3/4 c. of sugar is used. in a saucepan, boil together the remaining ingredients and pour over cabbage and onion mixture. Refrigerate 4-8 hours before serving. The slaw may be kept in the refrigerator as long as 3 weeks.
