2 C. flour
2 C. sugar
1 stick butter
3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 C. Crisco shortening
1 C. water
1/2 C. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon

Frosting:
1 stick butter
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/3 C. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 C. pecans (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
This cake can be mixed with a large spoon. Quick and easy to make when in a hurry. Grease a 9 x 13 p0an. mix in a large bowl the flour and sugar. Set aside. Put in a saucepan and bring to boil the butter, cocoa, Crisco and water. (Save the pan for the frosting). pour sauce over the dry ingredients and beat well with spoon. Add the buttermilk, eggs, soda, vanilla, salt and cinnamon. Beat and pour in pan. Bake at 400º for 20-25 minutes.

Frosting:
put in saucepan and bring to boil the butter, cocoa and milk. Add the powdered sugar, pecans and vanilla. Beat well and spread over hot cake. This cake is delicious with vanilla ice cream!
