Self-rising yellow corn meal 1 1/2 cups
White sugar 2 1/2 to 3 tablespoons
Approximately 3/4 or 1 cup boiling hot water
1 large egg
Oil for frying

Directions:
Directions:
Place corn meal and sugar in a bowl, stir
Add the boiling hot water slowly, stirring as it is added.
It should hold together on a large tablespoon
Next add the egg, stirring well.
Heat oil in large skillet.
Use large tablespoon to add cornmeal mixture to hot oil
Fry on one side until golden brown.
Using spatula flip and fry the other side until golden brown.

Serve with your favorite meal.
Example, Chili or Beans or Spaghetti, etc.
