1/2 c butter
1/2 c creamy peanut butter or crunchy if you like nuts
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
1 large egg
3/4 tsp vanilla
1 1/4 c all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

heat oven to 375

In large bowl with electric mixer at medium speed , mix butter, peanut butter, sugar and 1/4 c brown sugar
until light and fluffy.

Beat in egg and vanilla until thoroughly blended

In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.

With mixer on low speed beat in butter mixture until blended.

Sprinkle remaining 1/4 c brown sugar on top of dough

Using rubber spatula lightly fold in sugar

Roll heaping teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, place 2 inches apart

crisscross with flour on top

Bake 5-8 min until browned
