Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 chicken whole or cut up
4 cups Chicken stock
2 onions
2 stalks celery'
3 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 c milk
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
1 c water
1/2 tsp black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
In a large pot place chicken and add chicken stock, onion, celery and 2 tsp salt, cook on medium heat for 1 hr 20 min or until tender. De bone


To make gravy broth combine water with remaining flour, stir into stock. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to thicken.



Dumplings ( If large family make 2 batches )
In mixing bowl beat together the egg and milk. Add flour, remaining salt and baking powder. Mix well
Cut in butter until crumbly. Add 1 tbsp of parsley and mix . Drop by spoonfuls in broth and cook 10 min


Return chicken to dumplings and heat until warm
