Candied Pecans:
2 cups pecans
2 T sugar
2 T salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground cayenne

Dressing:
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1 T minced shallot
1 T Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup canola oil
salt and pepper

mixed greens
1 pint sliced strawberries
fresh goat cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine pecans, sugar, salt, cumin, cayenne and 1 T water. Mix well and bake on a sheet for 20 minutes.

For the dressing, combine vinegar, shallot, mustard and honey in a blender. Slowly add oil and season with salt and pepper.

Toss with greens, adding berries, goat cheese and pecans to finish.
