3 cups unbleached, all purpose flour
1 tsp. Kosher salt
1 cup lard or crisco
1/2 cup ice water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the flour and salt until combined.
Add the shortening with a pastry blender or 2 forks and mix until flour is looks like little coarse meal.
Slowly add the ice water and mix until dough is incorporated being careful not to over mix.
Place in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Roll out onto floured surface and place in pie plate.
Refrigerate while making the filling.
