Scalloped Green Beans Recipe

2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
1/4 cup cubed velveeta cheese
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
1/2 cup liquid from green beans
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups drained green beans
1/4 cup buttered bread crumbs

1. Melt butter and blend in flour.
2. Add milk slowly and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
3. Add cheese, mustard and bean liquid stirring until cheese is melted.
4. Add salt and pepper.
5. Put alternate layers of beans and sauce in a buttered casserole dish.
6. Top with buttered bread crumbs.
7. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Can top with french fried onions instead of bread crumbs for a different taste.
