5lbs white onions (sliced)
1 stick butter
1.5 tsp black pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
1 bay leaf
7 16oz cans of beef broth
1/2 cup of dry wine
3/4 cup flour
1 cup Worchester sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tsp salt
French bread
Swiss Cheese

Directions:

Melt butter in a stock pot and add onions
Cook for 1.5 hours on medium-low heat and stir occasionally. Stir in pepper, paprika, and bayleaf and saute another 10 minutes. Put flour and 1 cup of broth in a bowl and mix for later.
Add the other ingredients excluding the bread and cheese and bring to a boil. Add the flour\broth mix.

Let simmer another 2 hours. Lightly brown the bread and add to bowls served along with swiss cheese.
