4 cups flour
5 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon sugar
1 cup butter
1 ½ cups buttermilk (or milk)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in the milk. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead 2 minutes. Transfer to an ungreased baking sheet, score the biscuits into squares. Do not separate. Bake 15 minutes until a knife inserted in the center of the square comes out clean. Separate into biscuits and serve hot.
