½ cup margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
2 cups peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
4½ cups regular oats, uncooked
2 teaspoons baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips or use half M and Ms

Directions:
Directions:
Cream margarine. Gradually add sugar beating well. Add eggs, peanut butter and vanilla; beat well. Add oats, soda, and salt stirring well. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by ¼ cupsful about 4 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets and flatten cookies. Bake at 350º for 12 to 15 minutes (centers will be slightly soft). Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks and cool completely.
