1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1/2 cup raisins or currents
1 cup ilk
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Topping
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup sugar
Butter, the size of an egg
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Mix together until consistency of cornmeal and set aside.

Grease and flour large flat pan. Mix all ingredients except topping and spread in pan. Before baking sprinkle topping over batter and sprinkle with cinnamon. bake at 350 deg. until done.
