1 lb. ground turkey
1 large onion
1 large green pepper
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 can tomatoe paste
1 small can tomatoe sauce
2 cloves garlic
1 can red kidney beans
1 can light red kidney beans
1 can mild chilie peppers (optional)
1 7 oz beer (optional)
Spices to taste:
Chili powder
Cayenne pepper
Worcester sauce
Hot pepper sauce
Salt
Cumin
Oregano
Basil

Directions:
Directions:
Chop small the onion, pepper and garlic and then sauté them until transparent in a large pot.

Add ground turkey and brown in the same pot.

Add all the cans, then the spices and beer.

Simmer about 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally.

I like to serve with cornbread

The ground turkey can be substituted with ground beef.
