1 C flour
2 C oatmeal
⅔ C margarine or butter
1 C packed dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
½ C raisins, rinsed in hot water and drained

Directions:
Directions:
In small bowl fork-stir flour and baking powder together; stir in oatmeal. In 3-qt saucepan, over very low heat; melt the margarine, quickly stir in sugar and immediately remove from heat. Stir in egg and vanilla until blended. Add flour-oat mixture and raisins; mix well- the dough will be very thick. Drop by level Tb. about 2" apart onto greased cookie s heats; with a fork flatten each to about 2" in diameter; with fingers tuck in jagged edges to shape into even rounds. Bake in 350º oven until edges are browned 12-15 minutes. Let stand a few minutes, then with a wide spatula remove to wire rack to cool. Store in tightly covered container.
