4 Tablespoon all purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
½ cup crisco
1 cup sugar
dash of salt
½ teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bland flour and milk; cook until mixture thickens to consistency of cream. Cool; don't chill.
2. Cream together butter, crisco, and sugar.
3. Add salt and vanilla to the the sugar mixture.
4. Add the slightly cooled flour mixture & continue beating until very fluffy.

Yield: Icing for a 2 - layer cake.
