1 medium onions, sliced
3 Tb. Oil
1 lb. Ground beef
2 C (I can) whole tomatoes
can water
C washed uncooked white rice
1 tsp. Chili powder
grated cheddar cheese
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Cook sliced onions and ground beef in oil until beef is gray. Add next 6 ingredients; stir well. Put in greased 2-quart casserole dish. Cover. Bake 40 minutes at 350. Uncover and add grated cheese. Bake an additional 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. This can be prepared ahead, refrigerated, and baked later.
