Ingredients:  
1 lb. raw shrimp, 2 cloves chopped garlic,
6 slices bacon, 1 can (1 lb.) Italian style tomatoes,
1/2 lb. salt pork, 1 can chicken broth,
1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup monosodium glutamate,
1 cup chopped celery, 2 bay leaves,
1 - 10 oz. package okra, 4 drops hot pepper sauce,
(or 2 cups sliced okra), 1/4 teaspoon gumbo file,
1/2 teaspoon sweet basil, 1/2 teaspoon thyme,
1 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper,
1/2 cup chopped parsley, 1 can crab meat or fresh crab meat,
Hot cooked rice

Cook bacon and salt pork until bacon is crisp. Crumble and set aside. Remove salt pork.
To make roux, add flour and stir until mixture is medium brown. Add remaining ingredients except shrimp, file and rice. Cook for 20 minutes. Add shrimp, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Just before serving, stir in file. Serve over rice. Enjoy.
