2 Lbs white fish
2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, separated
1 tbs. melted fat
1/3 cup oil
1 cup plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup lukewarm water

Directions:
Directions:
Wash and drain fish onto paper towel (cut fish into serving pieces)

Sift flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Drop egg yolk in the center. Add water and melted fat and mix well.
Fold in beaten egg white and dip each piece in the batter.

Heat oil (drop a pinch of flour in oil, if sizzle it's ready) for 4 - 6 minutes. drain on a rack. Serve
