1 C dry navy beans or 3 cans cooked
3 (10-oz.) cans of chicken broth
1 C water
1¼ C chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
½ tsp. salt
2 C chopped chicken breasts (3½ cups)
1 can chopped green chilies
1 tsp . ground cumin
¾ tsp. dry whole oregano
½ tsp. ground red pepper
½ tsp. ground cloves
¾ C shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions:
Wash beans and place in dutch oven. Cover with water above beans and soak for 8 hours. Drain beans and return to dutch oven. Add broth and next 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat. Simmer 2 hours stirring occasionally. Add chicken and next 5 ingredients cover and cook 30 minutes. Spoon into serving bowl and top with cheese
