1/2 Cup butter or oleo

1 egg

1 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 tablespoon milk

2 cups flour

1 + teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Cream butter, add sugar and cream again; add egg, milk, and 1 cup flour mixed with salt and baking powder. Mix well and then add another cup flour. Chill, roll out cut into shapes. Bake at 400º for 8-10 minutes

Frosting:
In mixer, beat 1 egg white, 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar until thick but capable of being spread. Add little more sugar if necessary. Tint if desired.
