German Potato Salad Recipe

5 pounds red potatoes
3 bunches of green onions chopped
1 pound of bacon cooked and chopped (you can add more bacon if you want)
3/4 cup white vinegar
2 cups water
1/3 cup sugar

1. Boil potatoes, peel and cube
2. Dice bacon and fry
3. Chop onions
4. When bacon is fried, drain all but 3 or 5 tablespoons of grease.
5. Pour in vinegar, sugar and water
6. Mix and let boil about 3 to 5 minutes
7. Pour over potatoes, onions and bacon
8. Do not refrigerate
9. Stir often
10. Can garnish with fresh dill if you like
