2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons baking powder
⅔ cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs
2 cups flaked coconut

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening, peanut butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Blend thoroughly. Add dry ingredients and coconut, mixing only until blended. Spread into a greased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool. Cut in squares. Makes 5 dozen.
