4½ cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 cups salted butter softened
1½ cups packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat over to 350º
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Continue beating 3 to 4 minutes. Beat in instant pudding and mix until blended. Add eggs and vanilla and beat on low until blended. Blend in flour mixture in batches until all is incorporated. Batter will be very stiff. Add chocolate chip and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes in preheated oven. Edges should be golden. Yield 6 dozen large cookies. I usually get about 10 dozen when I use my cookie scoop.
