9 inch unbaked pie shell

3 eggs

1/2 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed

1 cup dark corn syrup

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

1 cup pecan halves

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
-Prepare pie shell; refrigerate until ready to fill
-Preheat oven to 375
-Beat eggs well in a medium bowl
-Add sugar, corn syrup, salt, and vanilla;beat until well combined
-Stir in butter and pecans; mixing well
-Turn into unbaked pie shell;bake 45- 50 minutes, or until filling is set in the center when gently shaken
-Let cool and decorate with whipped cream if desired
