Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 lb. bag of beans (any kind)
1.5 c. molasses
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 T. mustard powder
water to cover beans
2 onions, quartered
1/2 lb. lean salt pork, cut into pieces
2 T. cornstarch

Directions:
Directions:
Place beans in large covered pan and cover with water; let soak for a few hours then turn on stove and parboil for 1 hour. Pour beans, and enough water to cover them, into a crock pot. Stir in molasses, brown sugar & mustard. Cut onions and add salt pork on top of bean mixture. Cover & cook on high for 4 to 6 hours until beans are soft. Mix cornstarch with small amount of water and pour into simmering beans.

Hint: If beans taste too salty, cut up a peeled potato into quarters and add to beans. The potato will absorb some of the salt. Remove before serving. Also, if beans are not sweet enough, add a bit more molasses. If they taste too bland, add a bit more mustard. It's about how you like them!
