4 lbs hamburger (least expensive)
2 tsp liquid smoke
4 tbsp Mortons curing salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper (coarse is better)
2 tbsp mustard seed

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients well. Divide into 4 equal parts. Roll each part into logs and wrap in foil. Place in refrigerator for at least 24 hours.

Remove foil from rolls and place on broiler rack and bake for 1 hour at 350º. (After 30 minutes, poke rolls with fork and turn over) Cool on paper towels

* can store in refrigerator for 6 weeks wrapped in foil
