1 cup brown Sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
1 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 cup Whole wheat flour

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together. Melt butter, beat egg, add with milk sugar and vanilla to the dry mixture. Mix and pour into paper lined muffin tins. Only fill the cups halfway. Back at 350 for 15-20 min. If the mixture is too dry, add milk until it has a smooth and slightly runny texture.

This was a breakfast favourite when I was growing up. My mom was on a whole wheat kick for while and this is one of the recipes we really enjoyed. It's the best with plain butter straight from the oven.
