c. granulated sugar
c. packed brown sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
tsp. salt
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips (2 c.)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375 F.
Mix sugars, butter, vanilla, and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2" apart onto cookie sheet, and press down slightly.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.
