2c split peas
6 c water
1 carrot (diced)
1 celery (diced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tsp lemon juice
1 bay leaf
s and p to taste
dash of parsley, thyme, marjoram and cayenne

Directions:
Directions:

Put the peas into a pot and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat and simmer till tender (1˝hrs)
Add all the other ingredients and simmer till carrots soft.
