Pork Shoulder or piece of one
1 onion, sliced
Sauerkraut
1 Apple, peeled and cut in chunks
2 or 3 potatoes in small chunks

Directions:
Directions:
Salt, pepper and brown the pork shoulder in a Dutch oven with oil.
Drain and rinse the sauerkraut
Add onion, apple, potatoes and sauerkraut to Dutch oven with the pork.
Cover and roast in a low (325º) oven for about 3 to 4 hours.

An easy, delicious fall/winter dinner. Many variations but I suggest using a pork butt or shoulder. The loin cuts are too lean and dry out.
You can get sauerkraut in the cold deli section and it tastes a little better than the canned variety.
