6-8 thick loin pork chops, trimmed of excess fat

salt and pepper

Sauterne, Chablis or other white wine

quartered onions

Directions:
Directions:
Brown chops in heavy skillet. Season with S & P, add wine to 1/2 cover meat, arrange onions around the chops.

Bake in a moderate oven about 1 hour, adding more wine if needed.
