1 cup Nabisco 100% Bran Cereal
1 cup boiling water
1 cup shortening(Crisco)
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups buttermilk
2 1/2 cups unsifted all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups Kellogg's All Bran Cereal

Directions:
Directions:
Soften 100% Bran in boiling water and set aside
Blend shortening, sugar and eggs in a large bowl(preferably with a cover). Add buttermilk, bran mixture, flour, soda, salt and All-Bran. Mix well. Fill number of muffin tins needed and bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Cover remaining mixture and refrigerate. Never stir again even if ingredients seemed to have settled. Just dip out amount needed. This mixture keeps well up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator
