1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk (you could use milk)
2 cups bananas, mashed
1 tsp vanilla
2 cup flour
1 cup rolled oats
11/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
6- oz pkg (1 cup) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350 F.
Grease 9X13 inch pan. in a large bowl, combine sugar,butter and eggs; mix well. Stir in
buttermilk, bananas and vanilla; blend throughly. Stir in
flour, oats, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in
chocolate chips.
Spread batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle nuts evenly over top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

One of my favorite cakes!! This recipe is hard to find online I always have to go to my very old Betty Crocker Cookbook when I want to make it.
