1 pkg dry yeast and 1/4c hot water
1c milk scalded
2T shortening
2T sugar
1t salt
1 egg beaten
3 1/2c flour
butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix milk, shortening,sugar and salt, cool. Add yeast and egg, stir in flour until it forms a soft dough. Cover and let rise until doubled. Roll or pat out 1/4 inch thick, cut with biscuit cutter and brush with butter. Fold over-lapping and seal edges. Place on cookie sheet and brush again with butter. Let rise until doubled.

Bake at 400º for 15 minutes
