Mary Hart

1 lb ground beef
1 egg
1-2 T Caraway seed (to taste)
1 T Garlic powder
1/4 C minced onion
Salt & pepper to taste
Bread crumbs (enough to form meatballs)
1 can Whole Berry Cranberry Sauce (16 oz?)
1/2-3/4 C Marinara Sauce
Small can sliced mushrooms (optional)

1) Mix first 7 ingredients and form small meatballs
2) In a Dutch oven combine the cranberry sauce and marinara sauce (& mushrooms), heat over medium flame, stirring, till cranberry sauce has melted.
3) Add meatballs, shake the pot to coat the meatballs,
4) Cover and lower heat slightly. Cook for 30 minutes checking regularly to shake the pot so the meatballs donít stick to the bottom. Can use a spatula to stir carefully, donít crush the meatballs.
Serve over flat noodles or can be an appetizer using tooth picks to spear.
