4 large potatoes keep skins on and try to get uniform size
1/2 cup butter
3 green onions finely minced

Directions:
Directions:
Cut potatoes crosswise in about 3/16 ths inch slices. Keeping potato shape intact, arrange in two rows with slices upright in a buttered 5x9 inch loaf pan.
Melt 1/2 cup butter and add the green onions.Pour over the potatoes
Bake uncovered in 425º oven for 1 hour.
Reduce heat to 375º and bake about 30 minutes or until tender.
Turn out of pan and onto a platter to serve.
