1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract
Pinch of salt
1 egg
1-1/3 cup flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
Directions:
Directions:
Mix all together. Roll out on floured board and cut w/star cutter. Put a tsp. of nut filling in center of each star. Bring the five points upright, & pinch sides together so the points stand up. Bake in 400ºF oven for 7-10 mins on ungreased cookie sheet.

NUT FILLING:
1-1/4 cup walnut ground
1/3 cup sugar
Pinch of salt
1 tbsp. melted butter
2 tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. vanilla

mix all ingredients for cookie filling.
