1 can (29oz) sweet potatoes or yams OR
4-5 Fresh sweet potatoes
2 cups water (only to cook fresh sweet potatoes)
cup brown sugar
cup butter or oleo

Directions:
Directions:
If using fresh sweet potatoes, cook first.
Cut in medium chunks. Cook in large skillet using approx. 2 cups water. Add brown sugar and butter or oleo. Cook on medium heat until liquid thickens and potatoes are tender. You may need to add a little water, but you want the juice to be thick.
